Maremma

The area of the Maremma is located in southern Tuscany and includes the city of Grosseto and its entire province.
The territory includes numerous localities of cultural and archaeological interest, with evidence of the first civilizations, both Etruscan and Roman, that occupied the area. For example, the zones of Vetulonia, Roselle and Sovana offer important archaeological areas and Etruscan necropolises to the public.
Maremma offers an extraordinary and profuse natural environment, a clear sea, large pine forests and a precious natural patrimony. The territory has various protected natural areas, the most important being the Natural Park of the Maremma, which extends from Principina to Talamone. The Park covers a large variety of native environments, from cultivated fields and grazing areas to the Mediterranean bushes, pine woods, rocky areas and wetlands.
