Valdorcia

The area of Valdorcia, intersected by the Orcia River, is located in central southern Tuscany and includes part of the province of Siena. The landscape of this territory is characterized by wide open spaces and sweet rolling hills. The valley, with its five towns, is part of the Natural, Artistic and Cultural Park of the Valdorcia whose objective is to conserve the natural and artistic patrimony of the territory.
Pienza and Montalcino are the two better known cities of the Valdorcia but the entire area offers fortresses, museums, churches and villages that merit a visit.
