Recreation and Sports

There are many sport initiatives and occasions for practicing sports in Tuscany. Both small and large cities offers indoor gyms and facilities for various sports in which it is possible to work out and train at any time of the year. When the weather is nice, nature itself offers the opportunity to play, train and compete outside, presenting its glorious landscapes and views to the walkers, hikers, runners and cyclists willing to take on the hills and paths found in the region.

	Trekking on Foot - www.trekkingapiedi.it - For anyone interested in hiking or trekking, this is a great resource. Maintained by Paolo, an avid trekker, the site calls together anyone interested in joining in programmed walks and offers itineraries with photographs and details. The site also includes a section on the natural history of Tuscany, photographs and a blog.
	Tuscan Football - www.calciotoscano.it - Site dedicated to Tuscan football offers details on the Tuscan football teams that play in the A, B and C series, with general news on the world of football. In addition, a section is dedicated to each team with information on the company and player statistics.

	Parco dei Renai - www.parcorenai.it - Artificial lake and recreational area in Signa is connected to Florence with a bike path along the Arno river which starts in Florence's Cascine Park.
